“Inside OC” (produced by Rick Reiff and Scott Hays) was awarded Best News Broadcast-Video at the Orange County Press Club awards held at the Clubhouse in Anaheim Hills.

Candidates in a contentious Orange County Congressional race and their aides go at it even before the in-studio debate began. The encounter was triggered by complaints from the camp of Democratic challenger Harley Rouda that Republican incumbent Dana Rohrabacher was bringing notes with him onto the set of public affairs show Inside OC.

Beginning January 2017, Inside OC will broadcast at 5:30 a.m. every Sunday on KDOC-TV, reaching an estimated 5.5 million homes in the LA/OC market. The guest lineup already includes Nobel economist Vernon Smith and the math genius who “beat the dealer” and the market, Ed Thorp.
