The world-famous marine-life artist known as Wyland has painted 100 life-size public marine murals, known as the Whaling Walls, around the world, including Laguna Beach, Japan, France, Australia, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Guam, Brazil, and China. His Wyland Foundation has worked with more than 1 million children since 1993 to “inspire people to help become ambassadors for the ocean.” Here his discusses his various philanthropic endeavors, including the recently released “Blues Planet III” CD, an “eco-conscious music project” with iconic blues musician Taj Mahal.
